Lela Fleming 81, of 67 Barber St., NW died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at CMC – NorthEast.  A wake will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion Church from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, March 7, 2010 3:00 p.m. also at Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion Church.  Rev. Tressala T. Hicklin, Officiating.  Burial will be at Rutherford Memorial Cemetery.

John Luther McCain “Sugar Bear”  56, of 375 Houston St., NE died Monday, March 1, 2010 at CMC – NorthEast.  Visitation will be Saturday, March 6, 2010 1:00 p.m. at Gilmore Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.  The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Tressala T. Hicklin, Officiating.  Burial will be in the Gilmore Chapel Church Cemetery.

Charles Steele “Charlie Brown” 80, of 42 Tribune Ave., SW died Monday, March 1, 2010 at CMC – NorthEast.  Visitation will be Saturday, March 6, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at Silverhill Primitive Baptist Church 162 Penrod  Dr., SW.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Elder Plyler Hemphill Sr., Officiating.  Burial will be at Salisbury National Cemetery on Monday, March 8, 2010 11:00 a.m.

Concord – Margretha Ann Smith, 54, of 200 Brown St., Concord, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, VA.  Visitaion will be Friday, February 12, 2010 at 12 noon at The Beginning Fellowship Church, 1537 N. Ridge Ave., Kannapolis, NC .  The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Hattie Wre, Officiating.  Interment is at Rutherford Memorial Cemetery.  The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister, Katie Richardson, 200 Brown St.
